Diane Rehm Book Club: "The Adversary"
A Conversation With Michael Crummey

Wednesday, March 27, 2024

Starting at 1:00 p.m. (US/Eastern)

The Diane Rehm Book Club selection for March is “The Adversary” by Michael Crummey.

This recently released novel tells the story of a brother and sister’s feud in 18th century Newfoundland. Their battle for power in the small town of Mockbeggar spirals into vendettas and violence, with the community increasingly divided and forced to take sides.

With unforgettable characters and a narrative that is “in constant, elegant motion,” Crummey’s novel both entertains and holds a mirror up to our modern politics of grievance and retribution.

Join Diane for a conversation with Michael Crummey about "The Adversary” on Wednesday, March 27 at 1:00 p.m. ET.

And we want to hear from you! What do you want to ask about the book? We will take questions from the audience — please submit your questions here by Wednesday, March 27 at noon ET.
